THREE MUSICIANS, A LITTLE WHISKERIA… AND HENRIETTA. 👻
Well, my Spooktober Friends… Halloween is getting closer, and there’s something happening at the =little Whiskeria= that I’d like to put on your calendars.
On Friday, October 30th, Mark Taylor, Wolem Wobbit and Mike Carnell will join us for a Boo Fighters Halloween Jam. We start at 1 pm SLT / 21:00 CET.
And yes, Henrietta made it onto the poster too. Apparently, the musicians aren’t getting all the attention this time. 😉

And while I was Decorating some spooky spots… 📸
…there was time for a few pictures. Obviously. 😇
The little Whiskeria already has some rather interesting company hanging around for Halloween, so I joined them with The Widow Pose Set by Fashiowl Poses.

One moment, a quiet drink beside a skeleton. The next, posing with Jack, Sally and Zero. My social life seems perfectly normal, thank you very much. 😂
I’m showing you two selected poses from the set of 13, which includes accessories and a pose stand. The paper bag expression remained remarkably consistent throughout the shoot. Very professional of me. 🤓
Now… back to the music. 😉
So… who are the Boo Fighters?
If you’ve been around the little Whiskeria for a while, you might have come across the name already. Here you’ll see some previous live impressions of the crazy group.
The Boo Fighters bring together Aminius Writer, Boo Dozer, Mar Biddle, Mark Taylor, Wolem Wobbit and Mike Carnell – different voices, different musical backgrounds, and a shared love of making music.
For previous jams, the musicians met in real life and streamed their session into Second Life. Which is a lovely way of bringing people together: they share a room somewhere out there, while we gather in our little corner of SL and get to listen in. Earlier Boo Fighters announcement
And this is a little personal, too. ♥
I’ve actually had the chance to meet all these lovely people in real life and experience a jam with them in the same room. And honestly? I’m so glad I did.
Of course, listening through a stream in SL feels different from being right there with them. But even through the stream, these jams are always funny, exciting and sometimes unexpectedly emotional. There’s music, there’s laughter, and there are those moments when you just stop chatting for a bit and listen.
Having met the people behind the avatars makes it all a little more personal for me. They’re wonderful humans, and I’m really happy our paths crossed.
Love you lot. Quite a bit, actually. Don’t let it go to your heads. 😘♥
A little blues, a little rock…
This time, Mark, Wolem and Mike are on the programme. So let me introduce the three a little…
Wolem Wobbit feels very much at home in blues and blues rock, although country, swing and ballads also find their way into his musical world. He sings, plays lead guitar and writes his own songs. He also arranges and produces his own backing tracks – there’s quite a bit happening before a song ever reaches our streams. Artist profile
Mike Carnell brings another guitar into the mix, with music ranging from blues to funk and rock. His published recordings include original pieces alongside jams featuring songs by Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and ZZ Top. There’s room for a groove, a guitar solo and the occasional increase in volume, I’d say. 😎 Listen to Mike
And then there’s Mark Taylor, with his voice, acoustic guitar and a repertoire that moves between ballads, love songs and rock classics. His concert introductions mention more than twenty years of performing experience outside SL – plenty of music to bring into our virtual world. More about Mark
Three different musical personalities. I’m curious to hear where the evening takes them.
And the rest of the family?
Of course, an introduction to the Boo Fighters wouldn’t be complete without mentioning these two lovely ladies!

Boo Dozer has already shared the little Whiskeria’s comfy concert setting with Aminius Writer for a live, unplugged Couch Concert. And her musical connection with Wolem goes back quite a while: there’s a recording of their joint Feed a Smile concert from December 2019, performed at the Lavender Field in Second Life. If you fancy a little listening before the Halloween Jam, that might be a good place to start. Boo and Aminius at the little Whiskeria · Boo and Wolem at Feed a Smile
Mar Biddle has been sharing her music in Second Life since 2008. Her musical world includes jazz, blues and pop, as well as her own songs performed acoustically with guitar. You might hear interpretations of artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Eva Cassidy or Caro Emerald, and she sings in English, French and Dutch. Quite a few possibilities there. 😉 Artist introduction
Mar has also joined a previous Boo Fighters Jam at the little Whiskeria. And perhaps she’ll find her way to this one as a surprise guest… but that’s still a maybe. No promises. We’ll have to see who turns up. 🤓 Mar’s earlier Whiskeria appearance
And of course, there’s Aminius Writer, whose voice and acoustic guitar have already made themselves quite at home at the little Whiskeria’s Comfy Couch Concerts. His music draws on alternative, indie and rock, with influences including Damien Rice, Oasis and Radiohead. Add that soft, warm voice, and you can probably understand why he’s one of my favourite singers for a cosy evening here. Get comfortable… you might stay a little longer than planned. 😉

Unfortunately, Aminius won’t be able to join this year’s Halloween Jam either. We’ll miss you on this one! ♥ More about Aminius
Come over and join us. ♥
For now, put October 30th in your calendar, bring your friends and spend the evening with us at the little Whiskeria.
There’ll be live music, a little Halloween atmosphere and, judging by the poster, some rather suspicious company around the stage.
I mean the ghosts, obviously. 😇
