The Flickr group of this place has been founded in January 2020 by Mark Knight & Jana Guyot. The Facebook Group has been founded already in 2018. So this place is quite a while on the grid already.
Lonely swamp Island. Witnesses of bygone days and paradise for those who seek solitude and nature.

(my) Impressions
You don’t stumble upon this place by chance. It lies between water and sky, where everything softens. The light flows gently across the surface, as if carefully holding onto the day.
Every step into the shallow water feels buoyant, not heavy. Nothing seems hurried. Everything has time. On the shore: wood that knows stories.
A windmill that measures the sky. Birds carrying themselves into the evening.
The landscape opens wide, and with it, something inside you. Here, what usually weighs you down grows quieter. Not gone—but lighter.
As if it were allowed to spread out, rather than weigh on you. You breathe deeper.
You look more closely. And suddenly it becomes clear:
This journey does not lead away from something, but gently back to you.
The water carries the light like a memory, flowing yet restless, while mist hangs between the rocks and trees, as if time were trapped there. Abandoned jetties and rusty structures jut out from the reeds, silent witnesses to a place that feels more than it reveals.
Above it all, a vast sky opens up—making the heaviness beneath seem almost gentle.
Summary
A gentle tug between a sense of vastness and melancholy, as if this place were touching something inside you that you thought you had long forgotten.
There are plenty spots to explore and to hang out. By your own, losing yourself in your thoughts, or you go exploring and chilling with your friends or partner. This SIM is moderate rated, so you should be careful when it comes to cuddling 😉
So I hope this SIM will stay on the grid for a while, it’s really worth a visit.
